New Edinburgh and Lindlea are bordered on the west by the Rideau River, to the north by the Ottawa River, to the south by Beechwood Avenue and to the east by Rockcliffe Park. An older, affluent neighborhood, the Governor Generals residence and grounds are located here, as is 24 Sussex Drive, residence of the Prime Minister of Canada.
New Edinburgh is home to several embassies and consulates, including those of Spain, South Africa, France, India, and Slovakia. Civil servants compose a fair portion of the population. Like Rockcliffe Park, the neighborhood is largely English-speaking, in comparison to the French-speaking district of Vanier nearby.
New Edinburgh and Lindlea real estate consists largely of single family homes but some new condos have been developed recently. Call Tom today for additional information on homes for sale in New Edinburgh.
